INYO MONO ADVOCATES for COMMUNITY ACTION, Inc. The IMACA staff and Board of Directors express their gratitude to every person and entity that has helped support the Agency over the last 38 years. As a private, non-profit Community Action Agency, IMACA www.imaca.netstrives to improve the living conditions of lower income folks. In 2018, 1,692 households 3,896 Inyo Mono residents were assisted by IMACA programs including: - 1,041 with home energy assistance, weatherization, energy conservation and consumer education; 2,792 with food distributions and pantries in 18 locations; 227 with homeless outreach, emergency and rapid re-housing services; 213 with assisted childcare and childcare resource and referral in Mono County; 382 through 6 Head Start/State preschools; 72 in 44 units of affordable housing; assisted 25 to find jobs and 100's seeking info and referral. IMACA provides 37 full & 14 part-time jobs, does business with dozens of local vendors and is engaged in future housing development Primarily funded by State and Federal contracts, IMACA encourages tax-deductible donations from individuals.
