High School graduation marks a significant transition from student to young adulthood. Whether you choose to continue your formal education, join the military, or enter the workforce, you are now able to make adult decisions and begin to carve your own path. I want to take a moment and Congratulate Inyo County's Graduating Classes from Bishop to Death Valley, I am proud of each of you. I also want to honor the parents, caregivers, teachers, and all the influential people who helped provide our young adults with insight and wisdom. As our graduating seniors embark upon their new chapter, my hope is that they do so thoughtfully and with the mindset that it only takes one terrible decision to permanently alter the future. As you celebrate the culmination of public school, consider your goals and what you want to achieve as a young adult- alcohol and drugs should not be part of that equation, you have all worked too hard to allow one bad decision to derail your future.
